25th May: As part of Welbeing Week, the children participated in a Yoga Session with Dearbhla Grall Wellness

21st May: School Marathon

19th May: The Boys and girls learnt about Capacity in Maths today. 

11th May: Today we received a visit from Garda Gerry. He spoke to the pupils in Ms Fannings room about Road Safety. 

May 1st: Active Schools Week: We completed our 2026 Active Schools Week with a Whole School Feel Good Friday Morning Movement!

30th April: As part of Active Schools Week, the boys and girls took part in a Soccer Taster Session from Headstart Coaching. 

28th April: As part of Active Schools Week, the Boys and Girls of Junior/ Senior Infants and 1st took part in a Walkway Activity outside in teams. Ms Fanning explained the activity first and then the class went on thier mission, along the perimeter of the school, looking out for walk way signs. 

24th April 2026: Junior/Senior Infants and First Class made smoothies and jam sandwiches as an introduction to procedural writing.

Afterwards, they enjoyed a picnic outdoors

November 2025: Gymnastics with Niall, Headstart Coaching.

After the Midterm break, we had 7 weeks of gymnastics with Niall from Headstart Coaching. The boys and girls from Junior to First learnt how to develop the basic movement actions of jumping, rolling, transferring weight, balancing,
and turning using a variety of body parts. They practised rocking and rolling activities
leading to the forward roll. The kids also learnt to keep their backs straight and bend their knees when landing. It was amazing to see the progress made in a short period of time.

A visit from Hurling Champions

We had a visit from Joe, Moylagh GAA chairperson and Darren O’Higgins, Meath hurler, who won the Meath Hurling Final with Moylagh/ Kilskyre Team at the weekend! 

Active School Skipping Challenge: Skip Around the World Challenge

October 6th- 24th 

Junior/Senior Infants and 1st class took part in a whole-school activity, with students taking daily 10-minute skipping breaks over three weeks. Each skip counts as 1 km, and classes combine their totals to “travel” to famous global destinations, integrating physical activity with learning opportunities!
